Paul has over 7 years experience on a Fortune 100 healthcare company’s Red Team, with over 22 years in the information security industry. His passion for information security motivates others around him. His emphasis on training ensures new as well as seasoned information security staff are familiar with pertinent topics.

Paul’s experience in technology has been accrued since joining the United States Air Force in 1988. Initially starting his career in computer maintenance, he quickly progressed to join the non-commissioned officer ranks. He acquired skills in hardware maintenance of military computer systems before branching into the world of personal computers. This in turn led to career as a network engineer, first for a small-market cable modem company and ultimately a nationwide DSL company in Las Vegas. An opportunity presented itself for a newly formed department of Information Security through a major hotel/casino operator in 2002, and Paul has been focused on information security principles ever since.

Paul holds an A.A.S in Electronic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, an A.A.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology from Jefferson Community College, and a B.S. in Information Technology - Security Emphasis through Western Governors University. He has been CISSP certified since August, 2006.
