Before entering the cybersecurity field, Charlie served with distinction in the U.S. Marine Corps Security Force Regiment. His military background instilled a deep sense of discipline, mission focus, and a lifelong commitment to protecting others—values that continue to drive his work in cybersecurity today.
Charlie holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Biology, reflecting his strong analytical foundation. He later pursued an MBA at Vanderbilt University, where he sharpened his strategic thinking and leadership capabilities. Though he once considered a career in medicine, his passion for technology and security ultimately led him to become a trusted advisor in the cybersecurity space.
With a rare blend of technical expertise, operational leadership, and a service-first mindset, Charlie continues to be a driving force in helping organizations navigate today’s complex threat landscape.
Charlie Brown is a seasoned technology leader with a dynamic career spanning cybersecurity, consulting, and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as a lead consultant and team manager on a Fortune 100 healthcare company’s Red Team, Charlie specializes in proactive offensive security—designing and executing advanced threat simulations to uncover vulnerabilities and strengthen enterprise defenses.
Charlie’s journey into technology began in the early days of the Internet, when he founded an innovative internet service provider to bring connectivity to underserved rural communities. His entrepreneurial spirit and technical acumen later led him to consulting roles with industry leaders like IBM, where he contributed to complex, high-impact projects that optimized business operations through emerging technologies.
